Founder & President DR. ANITA FAMATTA CHIOKE

Dr. Anita Famatta Voyou-Chioke, is a born Liberian and American, Bsc, Master’s in Psychology, Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the Esteves School of Education at Sage College and she is distinguished educator, New York City Department of Education for 20 years. She’s the founder of Dignity and Empowerment for Homeless Women and Children International and advocate for rescuing women, girls and children from any form of abuse, poverty and rebuilding self-confidence and self-reliance though protecting their mental health. She was the guest speaker of honor at the 2022 Liberia Independence Day

Co-Founder

Entry level provider of services to participants of social services and education activities. Worker that gives full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.  Ethical worker who is actively looking for ways to help people. Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Able to talk to others to convey information effectively. Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Odell Kumeh is a physician who trained in Liberia at A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor, and post internship surgical training at Phebe Hospital in Suakoko, and Redemption Hospital. She has completed extensive training including: in 2015 the Global Health Delivery Intensive Program at Harvard University; in 2011, a three month sponsored USAID intensive training at Stella Maris Polytechnic University on Human resources for Health, financial management, organizational strategy and leadership, as well as trainings with USAID Maternal Child Health Integrated Program, Asahikawa University on Health Systems Administration, training focused on health sector planning, infectious disease management and surveillance and policy in Sapporo, Japan, sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

I am a 2017 graduate of the University of Liberia with BSc. Sociology and I have achieved additional training in Social Work.
I worked at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an NGO affiliate of the United States. I was hired and trained as a Psychosocial
Counsellor. I was assigned at the Redemption Hospital in New Kru
Town where I conducted awareness, sensitization, and capacity building
workshops. I am highly motivated, hardworking, and a compassionate
public servant. I am currently serving as the Secretary General in my
community, Karpeh Street, New Kru Town, Bushrod Island.

Acting Board Secretary

Inez F. M. Hayes is Acting Secretary General for DIGNITY & Empowerment for Homeless Women & Children International (DEHWCI). She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Education from the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University (AMEZU), a diploma in French from the Institute of French Studies with affiliation at the “Universite national de Pedagogie” in Conakry, Guinea. She earned a Certificate in “Advocacy functions, Leading & Managing with Value” from the”Liberia Institute of Public Administration”, a Certificate in Administration and Office Work, “Keamaxx”, a European-Based Institution, a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the” United States of America for International Development”, Certificate in “Communication Skills” from the “European Development Fund through the National Authorizing Office” in Monrovia, and pursuing graduate studies in “Educational Supervision and Administration” at the University of Liberia. Regarding diversity, I studied “Spanish” at the African Methodist Episcopal University, Business, and Continuing Education Program, where professionals build up their capacity to work with various groups of people. I have an additional edge in computer studies, and credibility with valuable experience in both national and international work, and can brag about being a good team player.
