To organize developmental programs for homeless girls/teenage
mothers through education and career readiness.
Our projects
Our organization is involved in numerous projects.
Over five hundred and fifty (550) homes or household benefited from the livelihood support. The livelihood support targeted one thousand five hundred Ebola affected families this include homeless women, girls, and orphans in nine counties. Over two hundred and fifty Ebola affected orphans were direct beneficiaries from the livelihood support,1000 from Montserrado and 500 from Grand Bassa County and over three hundred young women and girls that were affected or direct victims of the virus also benefited from the livelihood support, two hundred of them from Montserrado and one hundred from Grand Bassa County.
Under the livelihood support the beneficiaries received the following items:
Rice (25KG), Vegetable Oil, Luncheon Meat, Creamy Wheat, Vita Cube, Table Salt, Sugar, Milk and Protein Biscuits. Including other disinfectant materials like bath and washing soap, Dettol, choral, foster Buckets, toothpaste and used clothing.
Doing the current outbreak of the Coronavirus in Liberia, the DEHWCI with its Founder/CEO and the Liberia Team was able to training over twenty-five (25) Peer Educators to create awareness and sensitization on COVID-19 in three (3) Counties, Namely: Montserrado, Bomi and Grand Cape Mount Counties. During the COVID-19 outbreak in 2019, the DEHWCI provided livelihood support and Economic Empowerment for homeless Women and Children in three (3) counties.
